My stay at the Skirvin Hilton was certainly memorable, blending a charming historic ambiance with some modern touches. The staff exuded warmth and attentiveness, which really enhanced the experience. However, there were a few hiccups, particularly regarding room availability and cleanliness. Overall, while I enjoyed my visit, there is room for improvement.

I stayed on the 11th floor, and while the room was decent, it seemed a bit plain for the price. The lighting could definitely be brighter, and I wish it had been updated a bit more. Despite that, it was beautifully decorated and offered a unique touch.
Service

The customer service was generally good, with staff showing eagerness to assist whenever needed. However, I did feel let down when my booking issue wasn't addressed properly during check-in.

8.4/10

I had a wonderful time at this hotel, particularly enjoying the charming atmosphere and professional service. The dining experience was exceptional, and the piano bar offered a vibrant ambiance. However, I did encounter some issues with the room temperature and water pressure, which detracted from an otherwise enjoyable stay. Overall, I would recommend this place with a few caveats.

Rooms
6.0
The room was spacious and well-appointed, but I struggled with the temperature control, finding it either too cold or too hot. The water pressure in the shower was disappointingly low, making it difficult to rinse off properly.

7.2/10

While the hotel boasts a stunning historic architecture and impressive common areas, my experience was somewhat marred by the condition of the rooms and inconsistent service. The staff were friendly and accommodating, but some aspects like room cleanliness and room service could use improvement. Overall, it has a lot of potential with a charming atmosphere, but some updates are clearly needed.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was spacious, but it felt a bit dated with furniture showing signs of wear and tear. Little details like scratches on the coffee table and an uncomfortable sofa detracted from the overall comfort. It could have been better maintained given the cost of staying there.
Service
7.0
The hotel staff were friendly and eager to assist with any request. However, my room service experience was disappointing, with issues around the quality and timing of my order. I had to wait a long time for a replacement meal.
Location
9.0
The hotel is ideally situated for exploring the downtown area, and it’s easy to walk to nearby attractions. Even with construction noise in the vicinity, the central location is a major advantage.
Dining
6.0
Dining options included a great breakfast buffet, but my room service experience fell short. The initial meal was poorly executed, though they did manage to correct it upon my complaint.
Facilities
8.0
Common areas like the lobby and piano bar were beautifully decorated and inviting, creating a lovely atmosphere to relax in after a busy day. However, I did notice the need for more recreational facilities.

Staying at the hotel was quite an experience with its charming vintage appeal and comfortable amenities. The staff was eager to assist, but I found the service inconsistent at times. Additionally, the noise from construction outside was a disturbance, which affected the overall tranquility of the stay. It’s a bit of a trade-off between the historical charm and modern conveniences, but the value makes it worth considering for a visit to downtown OKC.

Rooms
7.0
The room was generally clean and comfortable, although I did wish it had a mini-fridge and microwave. It faced the front, and the noise from the street was somewhat distracting.
Service
6.0
Service was a mixed bag; while some staff members were attentive and kind, there were delays in housekeeping that left us waiting longer than expected. It could use improvement to enhance the overall experience.
Location

The location is exceptional for exploring downtown OKC, with many restaurants and attractions within walking distance, despite the construction nearby.

While I didn't have an extensive dining experience in the hotel, the breakfast was delightful and had a nice variety that I appreciated.
Facilities

The hotel offers a nice pool and fitness center, contributing to a pleasant stay overall, but the noise from construction nearby was a bit of a downside.

I had a really nice stay at the Skirvin, where the blend of historical charm and modern amenities made my experience enjoyable. The staff went above and beyond, especially at check-in, making me feel welcome with a complimentary breakfast and thoughtful treats in my room. I appreciated the extensive facilities and the delicious dining options, particularly the breakfast buffet. However, I found the telemarketing calls quite intrusive, and I wasn't a fan of having to use an app for the TV guide. Overall, it was a lovely experience with just a few minor drawbacks.
